I worked at the Office of International Relations, a subdivision of the Vice-President of University Relations at the University of Toronto. My responsibilities included improving the functionality of the office’s SharePoint, developing a new site, establishing a naming convention for shared documents, creating usable metadata categories, and implementing these changes. The University of Toronto prides itself on its international connections, and has thousands of active and historical of agreements with universities and organizations around the world. These files all needed to be organized that they could be retrievable, accessible, and searchable. Here is a list of current agreements, which shows some of the extent of the agreements that the University enters into, and the documents that I worked with.
